With the Indie Box, the entire XboxSquad editorial team offers you mini reviews of very little known or featured indie games. While some don’t deserve to step out of the shadows of the Xbox Marketplace, others might be worth a look. That is the whole subject of this section.
Here’s an original concept. You are a journalist and have to examine accident scenes using VR glasses in order to save those involved and, above all, to understand the course of events. What happened, how to avoid new victims and as a primary goal: anticipate what comes next.
After completing the tutorial, you very quickly find yourself in the field in which increasingly complex accident scenes are being examined. From a simple collision to serious chain accidents in difficult conditions, you will be spared nothing. Luckily, you have a “backspace” available to help you avoid that mistake/omission that the emergency removed from your priorities.
accident is neither more nor less an investigation game. When multiple actions like rescuing and resuscitating victims or securing the premises quickly become reflexive, the rest of the interactions will quickly become limited to searching the area to find the slightest element that might guide you in your quest. The idea is good, the gameplay is effective, but personally I didn’t manage to delve into this search for the truth beyond the first scenarios. Reserved for “experts” or aspiring rescuers.
I appreciated:
- The original and never seen concept
- The consequences of your (non-)action
- The realism of some scenes
I am sorry :
- Despite the “urgency” of certain situations, it quickly becomes boring
