Q: What excites you most about developing and bringing? Hellblade: Senua’s victim Bring it to life on next-generation hardware? “
ON: We are incredibly proud to be four years after the launch Hellblade, we hear from players who experience our game for the first time almost every day. With a staggering 6.3 million players across all platforms, Senua’s story has reached more people than we could ever have imagined. We like to give Hellblade a new life with this update on next generation Xbox consoles, not only to have a definitive version of the game available, but also to ensure that we see more people experiencing Senua’s journey in the years to come.
Q: In addition to the power and performance of the Xbox Series X | S for faster loading times, etc., what you were most excited about was the Xbox Series X | S features that you found developing Hellblade: Senua’s victim?
ON: The Xbox One X Enhanced version of Hellblade was great, but moving to Xbox Series X | S is really really pushing the boundaries of what we can do with the game. Our starting point was to set everything to maximum settings and to make optimizations and additions from there. We were pleasantly surprised at how well we could look and run this game on the Xbox Series X | S. The end result is even better than what we were hoping for with this update.
Q: How will these improvements affect a player’s gaming experience? Hellblade: Senua’s victim?
ON: Senua’s trip is a cinematic experience, so the visual enhancements will really add immersion and bring the world of Helheim to life in ways we couldn’t before on consoles. Ray-traced reflections add new depth to the surroundings, from the torch-lit hallways of Hela’s Domain to the dramatic beaches of the Shipwreck Coast.
Q: How do you expect fans of Hellblade: Senua’s victim will it respond to gaming on Xbox Series X | S with these enhancements?
ON: Personally, I’m really excited to see how the talented virtual photographers who have been active in our community will use these improvements in their future work. Time and again I am blown away by the stunning shots we share on social media – I can’t wait to see what they can do with this new version of the game and the visual enhancements we’ve added.
Q: What improvement have you been looking forward to the most? Hellblade: Senua’s victim on Xbox Series X | S?
A: We’re excited to bring ray tracing to the Xbox Series X | S. I played through the game one more time in enriched visuals mode and the ray traced reflections are breathtaking. It’s really amazing what the team has achieved.
Q: What does Smart Delivery mean for your game and how do you bring it with you? Hellblade: Senua’s victim for fans?
ON: Smart Delivery makes this update really easy. Players with an Xbox Series X | S will automatically receive the new optimized update and can enjoy all the new features.
Q: What makes the Xbox Series X | S possible in current or future projects that you could not have achieved with the previous generation of consoles? “
ON: I can’t go into too much detail, but it’s safe to say that everyone at Ninja Theory is excited about the Unreal Engine 5 on Xbox Series X | S.
