This week we say goodbye to Bonnie Ross from 343 industries. The one who was the visible head of the study since its formation left the developer in charge of the Halo franchise and left her position as director of the study for medical and family reasons. An exit that meant a complete restructuring at the top of the company, with the arrival of new managers who hope to revitalize both the saga and Halo Infinite.
However, Ross’ departure may not be solely due to medical and family reasons. Or at least that’s what insider Brad Sams points out.
Halo Infinite’s poor results could be the cause of Bonnie Ross’ goodbye
According to renowned insiderwhich has already leaked Infinite’s multiplayer data and even said it was ready to launch ahead of the campaign, Bonnie Ross’ departure from 343 Industries was reportedly due to a restructuring and reorganization at Microsoft.
This is said to be due to poor Halo Infinite numbers failing to meet initial financial expectations, in addition to fan reviews. And the straw that broke the camel’s back would have been the new roadmap, where it was announced that season two would take longer than expected and the local co-op mode was cancelled. Thus, the poor performance of Halo Infinite and the content issues it brought would have been the ultimate reason for this reorganization given by Microsoft.
Anyway, the official version is that Bonnie Ross left her post due to medical problems, which we hope she will recover from as soon as possible.
