To celebrate Earth Day, Xbox is providing an update on sustainability within the company through limited edition products and various planned events, starting with the Remix Special Edition controller.
Announced and available since the beginning of April, the latter has the particularity of being made of recycled plastics, a third of which are made up of regranulated or regenerated materials, and by inheritance is accompanied by the Xbox rechargeable battery.
As Earth Day approaches, we wanted to take the time to reflect on the work we are doing to protect our planet and empower our community to get involved on our side.
Microsoft has made a strong commitment to reducing our company’s environmental impact by 2030 through three strong ambitions: negative carbon footprint, positive water footprint, and zero waste policy. We want to enable the world to do more, but to bring about this fundamental change, we need to think outside the box. The video game provides an incredible platform to make a difference on a global scale: it allows us to explore, experiment and connect with the rest of the world in different ways. Sustainability is a team effort and we’re excited to see how far we can get by playing together.
