One of the purchases that most fans of the vintage role enjoy is inXile Entertainment. Creators of games like the recent Wasteland 3 or The Bard’s Tale IV add a very interesting point to the Xbox catalog. Because while it’s true that Bethesda, Playground and Obsidian already cover the RPG genre well, Brian Fargo’s study is that point of differentiation in the genre that many of us need.
We know that you are immersed in a new project for Xbox like it could not be otherwise. We also know that he will use Unreal Engine 5 and that we are obviously faced with an FPS. Some job postings have dropped that there could be real-time combat and that there are Steampunk elements, but none of this is confirmed.
inXile Entertainment and its exclusive for Xbox
Now a Twitter “joke” points to a clue studio fans were asking for. And it is none other than the genre or rather the mixture of genres that his new project will have. Today, who knows a little more about inXile Entertainment games? you already know more or less what to expect, but it’s always good that they leave you with breadcrumbs.
From what they commented, it’s “something new”, “FPS” and “RPG”. That there were RPG components was something we all took for granted, but having FPS components was something unexpected.
Pulled NEW + FPS + RPG. 🤔

We have to wait until E3 2021 to find out more about what the Fargo team and company has in store for us. DEsde then a game like “Fallout” but with the inXile touch would be great. Either way, the game is still at a very, very early stage of development, so don’t expect it to be anytime soon.
