Legendary director John Carpenter is working on a Halloween game being developed in Unreal Engine 5.
Two games based on the horror film series Halloween are currently in development. Both games are being developed by Boss Team Games, who most recently gained experience in the genre with Evil Dead: The Game.
One of the two games is known to be being developed using the current Unreal Engine 5. John Carpenter, the director of the original from 1978, is said to be working closely with the designers of this game.
Carpenter himself said: “As a huge gamer, I’m thrilled to bring Michael Myers back to life in this game and I hope I can scare the crap out of you.”
The developer has so far revealed about the games that they will be able to “relive moments from the film and take on the role of classic characters from one of the most iconic and important horror films of all time.”
The only Halloween game to date comes from a 1983 adaptation for the Atari 2600.
