From Ken Levine, creator of BioShock, and his new studio Ghost Story Games We told you about Judas about a year ago. Since then, he has been largely absent until Sony’s recent State of Play presentation.

Judas will be set in a science fiction setting in Mayflower City. This is described as a “space city” ruled by machines that “control every aspect of business, art and government.” Under his rule, all Mayflower citizens are trained to spy on each other and are always on the lookout for the opportunity to “rip each other apart at the slightest offense.”

We will control the protagonist: Judas, who “started a devastating revolution” against the city’s leaders to “tear everything down”, after which you will have to decide whether to “fix what you broke or let it all burn”.

The mecanic

As this might suggest, Choice and consequence mechanics will play a crucial role in Judas, where the actions you take will shape the outcome of the story. “What if you could choose between who to befriend and who to stab in the back?” Levine wrote. “With Judas, we wanted to create an experience where those decisions and how the story unfolds are up to you. Because you, as Judas, are the driving force behind every event in a story with a new group of characters to meet (and change) in ways you’ve never experienced before in our games.

Peephole is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It doesn’t have a release date yet, but Ghost Story Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, previously announced that it is expected to launch in March 2025.
