It’s Thursday and how could it be otherwise, SNK announced a new character for King of Fighters 15, in this case the mercenary Leona Heidern. This unveiling was obvious at this stage since the fighter had been seen in the first trailer of this new opus so more or less we already knew that she would make her appearance. In fact, the only character left to be confirmed from this first announcement is K, which shouldn’t take long.
Leona is one of the characters in the traditions of the saga took Orochi blood, which caused the brutal eradication of the entire village he inhabited. In some attacks, his hidden power appears and his hair turns red for a few moments, an unmistakable sign of his power.

Neither the visual aspect of the character nor the movements he uses will be unfamiliar to players who have already enjoyed the saga for years. Leona uses a wide variety of tools such as her earrings or hairpin to create explosions and thus stun the opponent. One detail that draws attention in this regard is that although in previous installments these explosions occurred on contact, here they appear to have some sort of timer.
Leona won’t be making the women’s squad, so it’s very likely that she’s one of the members of the Ikari Warriors squad with Ralf Jones and Clark Still yet to be revealed.
Another thing that hasn’t been revealed is the game’s release date and the platforms it can be enjoyed on, but that’s what SNK has and we don’t have to wait any longer.
