FRAME BREAK and Amplifier Game Invest revealed a new gameplay session of their peaceful open-world farming adventure, Lightyear Frontier, during Xbox Games Showcase Extended 2023. The video reveals how up to four players can team up, build and explore a faraway land full of mystery and wonder. Likewise, the launch window for the game has been unveiled, which will arrive in Early Access in early 2024 on Xbox Series S/X and PC.
Light Year Frontier offers budding ex-farmers a peaceful opportunity to explore a strange and beautiful new planet, establish a home, and build a thriving farm while living in harmony with their surroundings. The world will live and respond to player actions; up to four can cohabit on the same planet, ride in fully customizable mechs, build and explore together. The ex-farmers must learn to co-exist with the planet, uncover ancient secrets, and develop a thriving farm while building their dream home in their little corner of the galaxy.
Lightyear Frontier Features:
Play alone or with friends – Many hands make work easier! Exofarmers can play solo or with up to 3 friends online, discover the interplanetary neighborhood and make friends on other planets. Lightyear Frontier will also support cross-play between console and PC, providing more opportunities to collaborate with other players.
Build and farm in this new world – Establish a house and build it with a series of unique structures. Exofarmers can team up with friends to help grow a thriving farm, protecting crops from various hazards for a bountiful harvest.
Explore a vast new planet – The frontier is full of landmarks and mysteries, with various biomes to discover and ruins to explore, either solo or with a full expedition.
Living in harmony with the Border – Collect and mine resources to craft and trade with other players or trade with the merchant, while carefully managing the natural ecosystem to create a sustainable way of life.
Own your robot – Exofarmers can customize and enhance their robot with a variety of unique upgrades and components, both functional and cosmetic, allowing everyone to express their unique style across the galaxy.
Lightyear Frontier will arrive in Early Access in early 2024 on Xbox Series S/X and PC, as well as Xbox Game Pass.
