Hunt: Showdown 1896 unveils a new event and limited-time game mode for Halloween.
Crytek is pleased to announce that the new game mode “Bounty Clash” as well as a new in-game event “Harvest of Ghosts” will be available to all players in Hunt: Showdown 1896 this Halloween.
“Bounty Clash” will be available from Wednesday, October 16th to Sunday, October 20th and will then appear every weekend during the “Harvest of Ghosts” event. The in-game event “Harvest of Ghosts” runs from October 16th to November 26th and offers hunters numerous new treats.
Crytek introduces Bounty Clash, a new experimental game mode focused on fast-paced action.
Players will start in a random area with a boss target waiting to be banished and a token available. The game rounds are fast and merciless as players must fend off enemies, rush to the token and take out everyone within 15 minutes!
Hunters will be carried over from the roster into the new game mode, making the stakes even higher than ever before. Players fight in a separate area of Mammon’s Gulch or Stillwater Bayou, customized specifically for this mode. Players are matched according to their MMR, but the results of Bounty Clash games do not affect the ranking.
Rush – Fight – Extract – Repeat! Hunters will soon be able to enjoy the thrill of this brand new limited-time game mode.
Harvest of Ghosts event
Corruption has reached a new phase, with two Incursions active at the same time for the first time. This unprecedented situation has spawned a new and corrupted season called “Harvest of Ghosts.”
A hunter nicknamed “Harvest” has manipulated the forces behind Dark Sight and become an “avatar” of sorts. As the destruction increases during “Harvest of Ghosts,” his powers also grow. He is the creator of rare tools (Dark Dynamite, Satchel) available to hunters for a high price. Under his leadership he has attracted all sorts of hunters who want to use the corruption to their advantage and embrace dark powers under the Pact of Omens.
The three pacts meet and fight for survival in the fall plagued by “Harvest of Ghosts,” where any hunter can be sent to the grave or rise again.
Main features
Harvest of Ghosts introduces exciting new mechanics and pacts to Hunt: Showdown 1896 as hunters hunt for Event Points for progression and Pledge Marks, used to unlock new powers. As the event progresses, players will gain access to new weapons and equipment, as well as numerous additional rewards.
