Hello everyone, Daniel Moregård, here, Game Director Stellaris: Console Edition The scary season is just around the corner and with the turn of the leaves comes the latest expansion for Stellaris: Console Edition. introduction into the Necroids Species Pack, the newest and final addition to Stellaris: Console Editionthe fourth extension pass. This deadly expansion conjures up more portraits, citizenships, ship sets, and other afterlife cosmetics and is available now on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
the Necroids Species Pack offers “the usual” fresh selection of portraits, citizenships, ship sets and other cosmetics for gamers – but it goes way beyond that by adding three new citizenships, the Necrophage Origin and the All-Consuming Chamber of Altitude. This is a package for those who embrace the afterlife and aren’t afraid to spend every day like it’s their last … or, depending on how you look at it, their first!
Citizenship
Necroids can start in any of three civilizations, each of which revolves around death, undead armies, and the darker side of the galaxy. These principles enable you to issue powerful edicts, deploy hordes of zombie-like soldiers, and erect monuments to your galaxy’s past.
For those wishing to join a literal death cult (available if you opt for the spiritualistic or fanatical-spiritualistic ethic), you will have access to death priests and mortal initiates. You can even sacrifice these initiates for Imperial bonuses.
On the other hand, you can be a memorialist obsessed with building monuments, tombs, shrines, and sanctuaries to commemorate the dead. These can be built on grave worlds and relic worlds. You have access to the fanatical Death Chroniclers, whose diligent preparation for their final moments makes them a powerhouse in unity and research.
Last but not least, there is the Reanimated Armies Civic, which enables players to raise the warlike dead. This town house will replace your military building and turn it into a horror camp where you can recruit entire armies of the undead to accommodate your desires.
Origin of necrophages
This species pack introduces the necrophage, a unique provenance that players can select at the start of the game. This bone-hard origin starts you on a regular home world of your climate choice with a total of 30 pops (18 necrophages, 12 prepatents). No food? Don’t worry, this type of near-immortal reproduces by consuming rival populations – to extend the unnaturally long lifespan of their leaders. The squirmish does not have to apply.
The origin of the necrophages isn’t picky – you don’t have to choose a necroid appearance to benefit from its creepy power. That means any species – humanoids, reptiles, synthetics, and all the other races you would expect to find in a great science fiction space opera – can choose that origin too. The disadvantage? You literally worship death, and your followers aren’t exactly motivated by that – you get lower resource output and (duh) lower population growth.
Enter the Chamber
So how do you grow your necroids with very limited population growth? Nice that you asked! By literally pulling entire cultures into their own. Every time you take on a new world, you want to build a chamber of heights. Depending on your ethics, you will use the Chamber of Dignity to either voluntarily convert the people of the planet to your death cult … or by force.
But wait, there’s more!
Necroids also offers 16 new portraits, a new ship set, a consultant voiceover, a city set, lists of names and building appearances.
If you prefer Halloween over Christmas then most of your clothes will be black and you go straight to the horror section when you start Netflix – this is for you! the Necroids Species Pack is now available.
