Should the Halo TV series be extended by a second season, producers, which include 343 Industries, Showtime and Amblin Television, would have to look for new showrunners for the TV series. Because in addition to Kyle Killen, who left the project before the actual start of production, Steven Kane, who is currently still responsible for planning the first season, will leave the series after work for personal reasons.
Production for the nine-episode first season began at the end of 2019 and had to be interrupted several times due to Covid-19. In February 2021 it was announced that the series would not be broadcast on Showtime, but on Paramount Plus. The start date should be in 2022.
