From the new FieldSense gameplay foundation to updates in Franchise and Ultimate Team, there’s something for every Madden NFL player.
What is FieldSense?
FieldSense is a whole new gameplay foundation that offers consistent, ultra-realistic gameplay by giving you more control at every position on the field. FieldSense affects every game mode Madden NFL 23 and is only available on Xbox Series X|S.
FieldSense is powered by new animations rooted in physics and animation branching technology to make gameplay authentic, diverse and realistic. This excellent new gameplay foundation consists of four key components Madden NFL 23: Hit Everything, Skill-Based Passing, 360° Cuts and WR vs DB Battles.
Hit Everything breathes new life into the defensive pursuit Madden NFL 23 with new mechanics that allow you to disrupt more than ever on the defensive side of the ball. Perform mid-air knockouts, blast blocks, smash the pile to help teammates, and force more turnovers with skillful stand-up tackles.
Skill-Based Passing lets you lead your receivers into open space, unleash shoulder throws where nobody expects them (except your receiver), and drop pennies in precise places with surgical accuracy. Use a new precision reticle and pass meter to make your passes inch accurate.
No matter what position you’re in with the ball, the new 360° cuts give ball carriers freedom and range of motion so they can do exactly what they need to do to put on more yards. Hit gaps when you see them, plant and go, and dodge defenders to make space and break high points.
With WR vs. DB Battles, these fresh new wide receiver release moves and defensive back-counterpress techniques can create fun and game-changing 1v1 off-the-line battles. Use fancy footwork on both sides of the ball to make your biggest plays yet.
What’s new in franchises?
Free agency is a big deal when building a team in the NFL, and Franchise mode should be no different. In Madden NFL 23, new systems and features in the franchise bring our players closer to the excitement and strategy of one of the most exciting parts of an NFL general manager’s career.
In the past, players signed up for a team in the franchise based solely on money. Now each player has three specific motivations related to the type of team they want to sign for or act with. These can range from location, coaching prestige, team composition and more, and all players start with 3 motivations that can change throughout the player’s career.
Scouting Updates
Over 50 scouts have been added, bringing the total number of scouts to 260. Each position has at least one scout per level with each expertise, so you can find the right scout for your team – now it’s your turn to make him an offer.
Ultimate team updates and new features
