According to producer Noriaki Okamura, development on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is going well and involves many members of the original team.
Producer Noriaki Okamura commented on the progress of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater in a recent video. Production is going well, and he is keen to preserve the Metal Gear series for future generations.
Okamura emphasized that it is important to develop a modern “Metal Gear” that focuses on the needs of the players in terms of graphics and usability, while the core aspects of the game should remain unchanged.
He said: “It is necessary to release a modern Metal Gear for today’s gamers, unlike the Master Collection. But Metal Gear Solid should remain Metal Gear Solid, so we will change the graphics and usability, but leave the other scenarios, sounds and game design unchanged.”
While Hidejo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa are not involved in the project, many members of the original “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater” team are working on the remake. The team is making good progress and doing its best, they say.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is set to release for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. No date has been announced yet.
A new video series about the Metal Gear franchise with Solid Snake and Big Boss voice actor David Hayter will soon provide an insight into the remake.
