Fortnite has long been known for its versatile crossovers. The next stroke of genius is called Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War.
With Fortnite, Epic Games Studios have created a platform on which a wide variety of artists and video game heroes from other universes have now roamed. Now, though, it’s not about playable characters or a live in-game concert.
This time Marvel has the comic book series Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War
Comic Editor Allana Smith said in a statement, “At its heart, it’s an adventure series that brings characters from both universes together to embark on a treasure hunt in the deepest, darkest reaches of the Marvel Universe. It will be the ultimate team-up, featuring the best from Fortnite and Marvel.”
On the front page you can already see some of these characters. Spider-Man, Wolverine and Shuri from Marvel and two heroes from Fortnite have been shown so far, and there was also talk of a guest appearance by Iron-Man. The whole thing should appear in June 2022.
Of course, Fortnite is still a game, so players shouldn’t go away empty-handed. The first print run of each comic book in the series will also include a code that players can use to purchase cosmetic items from the in-game shop one week after the book’s release.
