Remedy Entertainment Shares Plans in Financial Report, Alan Wake 2 Hasn’t Turned a Profit Yet

Even though we have already announced the continuation of Control and the remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2Remedy Entertainment showed the progress of its projects in the latest financial report. Alan Wake 2 It hasn’t paid off yet, but the Danish team is optimistic about its future line-up.

A ssu financial reportRemedy shared how they did last quarter, which increased revenue but decreased profits compared to the same period last year. Alan Wake 2exclusive for now on Epic Games compared to PC, has not yet generated any profits, but looking at the next physical edition, we hope it will go better so far.

“On the Road” Projects

In addition to talking about money, something that interests us gamers less, they talked about the video games that are in the oven. And at full power, Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is entering full production, so we expect announcements in the short term.

The titles with which Remedy made itself known and that we enjoyed so much will return with a technical facelift and adapted to today’s controls. Honestly, we miss more linear and direct games than others so big and “empty”.

Another title still in the works is a sequel to Controlwhich, although some players and critics “choked”, one server loved it. Connecting your world with Alan Wake 2, the new adventure of Jesse Fadenat least as I registered in my analysis.

Video games in the freezer

In May it was announced Kestrel Project Cancellationto the detriment of the studio’s focus on both Alan Wake 2’s post-launch content and what’s to come. The studio seems to be focusing on fewer goals and thus producing quality products.

We don’t know how far the deal with Epic Games goes, but we do know that they’re not doing very well with this PC exclusivity. We also know that many gamers prefer a physical edition, being willing to wait no matter what to buy the new adventure of the most famous writer in video games (and even non-gamers if it’s only digital).

I sincerely hope that they will succeed in the future, because I am an admirer of the characters and stories that the Finnish team wants to tell us. And who knows, maybe one day they will continue to tell the story of Jack Joyce with a new opus of Quantum Break.
