Not everything will be exclusive games for Xbox, today we present to you a project launched by four people including Nareice Wint at the head of the studio, which is also called Miami Avalon and which you can visit your website from here. She’s also the art director and creator of most of the assets for Ascend, a third-person puzzle game that looks great.
Nareice is also a producer at Playground Games, and is intended for the new Fable reboot project
The game is coming to Steam next year.
The game already has its own tab on Steam, and right now there isn’t much more information for the press beyond its Q4 2024 release and some screenshots. In fact, the gameplay trailer isn’t even on YouTube. Luckily, the Steam trailer lets you see enough to see what the game looks like in motion.
Ascend runs on Unreal Engine 5 and is an indie game, but it looks good enough to put it on the radar. An Xbox version is not confirmed at this time
Ascend is a third-person puzzle adventure game in which a young girl must navigate to the top of a mystical mountain to uncover its secrets and restore the land of her people to a harmonious state. Puzzles, natural wonders, remnants of a lost civilization, and connections to celestial bodies await Aurora as she embarks on a journey that has proven impossible for anyone who has ever tried.
Aurora quickly discovers that the mountain is unlike anything she could have imagined. She will have more questions than answers. Blurred judgment than clear direction. Ultimately, you will discover the crucial role balance plays in all areas of life, both on and off the mountain.
Currently, Miami Avalon is not only developing Ascend, but has also launched early access to Pandora: Chain of Chaosan adventure RPG available for less than 3 dollars.
