Metaphor: ReFantazio will not provide dating options.
Atlus recently revealed the release date of the upcoming role-playing game Metaphor: ReFantazio as part of its own showcase.
At the same time, some new information about the game was announced during a Q&A session. Developer Studio Zero also discussed the characters’ relationships with one another.
So it was confirmed that there will be no romances in Metaphor: ReFantazio. The upcoming role-playing game will move away from the dating options that fans are already familiar with from the Persona series.
However, that doesn’t mean that players aren’t allowed to build bonds and friendships with other characters. The social link system will also be used in the new game from Atlus.
Anyone who builds friendships with their allies can not only receive various bonuses, but also unlock new archetypes. Archetypes are various classes and abilities that can be used in combat.
Aside from that, the combat system will also differ from the popular Atlus series Persona. In the future, these will not only be turn-based, real-time battles will also be part of the role-playing game.
The latter is primarily intended for opponents who are significantly weaker than the players. This should make fights faster in the future and increase the pace of the game.
Metaphor: ReFantazio launches October 11th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
