The 2022 is a ‘twist‘ continued for those who thought the Xbox Series was going to hit it. Turns out Xbox Series S wasn’t such a bad idea after all, its manufacturing model has allowed the Americans to bring to market a new generation console that takes greater advantage of silicon. And to all this we must add Xbox Series X sales, Xbox One leftovers and subscriptions.
Microsoft has had the momentum to position itself as the industry leader in 2022, and sales seem to reflect it. Its latest financial results are many, all this taking into account the component crisis, the war, the pandemic and the problems of many developments.
Xbox Series performs well in 2022
So much so that Xbox as a brand closed its best non-holiday quarter in its entire history. And the data speaks for itself. If we go to gaming revenue, it was up 6% year-over-year in the quarter. Hardware sales were up 14% and software and services were up 4% year over year.
It’s clear that Xbox is doing well, in fact this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Aaron Greenberg coyly brag after seeing how some sources declared Xbox the best-selling console in some countries. Now it’s Satya Nadella himself who praises sales

If you follow the brand’s news a bit, you know very well that they don’t usually talk too much about the sales of their hardware, but this time it seems that they feel particularly proud.
