Microsoft is one of the companies betting the strongest on cloud gaming. It’s also one of the few companies with an infrastructure that can do this and more thanks to Azure. We observed that more and more Game Pass games support cloud playcan play either on Xbox One or on a smartphone. Microsoft’s latest bet is a device that we can connect to any screen and is called “Keystone”.
in a new reportJen Corden of Windows Central confirmed that Keystone is an HDMI streaming focused device capable of running Game Pass games and streaming them from the cloud.
Titles can be played on any TVproviding a low cost solution to access Xbox games.
“Our vision for Xbox Cloud Gaming is unwavering, our goal is to empower people to play the games they want, on the devices they want, where they want.. As announced last year, we have been working on a game streaming device, codenamed keystone. PCan connect to any TV or monitor without the need for a console“.
“As part of any technical trip, we constantly evaluate our efforts, review our learnings and ensure that we are adding value to our customers. We have decided to discontinue the current iteration of the Keystone device. We will build on our learnings and refocus our efforts on a new approach that will allow us bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to more gamers.”
Corden thinks Keystone has been in the works for a few years and pprobably not Let’s see at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase.
