The Dune expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator allows players to pilot the iconic ship from the films Dune, the ornithopter of House Atreides, above the deserts and canyons of the planet Arrakis. Players can fly the ornithopter three tutorial missions and six activities, including time trials and a daring rescue mission to save your flight instructor before a massive sandstorm hits. This is the first time in the franchise Microsoft Flight Simulator a fictional world is explored.

Alongside the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator – Extension of the dunesXbox also revealed the world’s first floating Xbox wireless controller, a custom Xbox Series S inspired by Dune and an ornithopter-shaped support for the console.
