After the PC version was released in 2020, Microsoft flight simulator launched on July 27th on Xbox Series X | S to appear. Since then, it’s been a parallel development of the two versions that allows Asobo Studios developers to share updates.

This week is therefore a “hotfix” that updates the game to version 1.18.15.0 and brings the following changes:

  • Corrected ground details when flying at aircraft altitude are now correct
  • The image of the clouds and the luminosity below are corrected
  • Fixed missing lighting effects
  • Abnormal temperature peaks over airports have been corrected

Further corrections have been made to the entire simulation part of Microsoft flight simulator, the full list can be found here. A known bug regarding the displayed altitude will be fixed in World Update 6. Regarding the Xbox Series X | S applies: this new update from Microsoft flight simulator seems to have increased the stability of the quick resume as you can see in this video by Tom Warren.

Microsoft flight simulator is available in the Microsoft Store for $ 69.99. It’s also included with Xbox Game Pass Xbox (Xbox Series only) and PC. Want to find out how to enable the game’s Photo Mode? You can find our explanatory video below:
