We recently learned that Microsoft would have reached an agreement with another company so that Call of Duty will be released for at least 10 years on its platform. This time we were talking about a cloud gaming company, specifically with Boosteroid. It would be a deal similar to the one he signed with Nvidia and Nintendo.
Apparently, the Redmond company continues to keep the offer on Sony’s table, however, the two companies are no longer discussing it. It seems to be coming to an end and if Sony doesn’t seize the opportunity now, it could be very difficult in the future.
Microsoft and Sony… Broken relationships?
It may be too early to tell, but what is clear is that Microsoft is very supportive and seems to have cut the bullshit. Call of Duty talks seem to have stalled and the owner of Xbox it doesn’t seem willing to take any more sticks and lies from Sony.
All this is known because the president of Microsoft himself, Brad Smith, gave an interview to the Wall Street Journal confirming what we tell you here. Besides, in the coming weeks, it looks like we may see new 10-year agreements with other companies
President of Microsoft @BradSmi recount @WSJ that Microsoft is not currently in talks with Sony for a Call of Duty deal. Microsoft is also preparing similar 10-year Call of Duty agreements with other companies in the coming weeks 🤔https://t.co/1Fvi4A6oSu

After the According to Nvidia, Nintendo and now Boosteroid, it’s clear that what Microsoft wants is to expand games around the world by taking them to platforms where they haven’t been before.. A sample that undoubtedly demolishes all the inventions that Sony commented on at the CMA so that the purchase of Activision-Blizzard does not close.
