Microsoft has presented the financial data for its last quarter and left us with several headlines. On the one hand, it seems that hardware revenues are down again, by 42% in this case. At the moment, there is no rebound in hardware sales and its results remain down.
The flip side of that is gaming, gaming revenues were up 44% from last quarter. We also have another nice increase, content and services were up 61%, So, in general terms, we have an upward trend over the last quarter, but the hardware is at a linear point with no increase.
Gaming revenue increases by 44%
Satya Nadella showed his satisfaction with the results and growth of entertainment in the company:
It now has over 500 million monthly active users across all platforms and devices. Our content portfolio has never been stronger.

Xbox’s release schedule in this first half of the year has been quite poor, in the first months of the year it only launched a great triple A with Hellblade 2, but no one is selling consoles at the level of what is supposed to be a game to get a domino effect in sales.
