I remember how some were excited by the news that Microsoft could display targeted ads in File Explorer, assuring that Redmond would never do that. Well, today we echo the testimony of some users who see their Windows experience deteriorate due to intrusive advertisements.
And, Americans are showing Microsoft Family 365 full-screen promotion to some users. Initially, it looked like it only appeared on Windows 1o, but there are already Windows 11 users echoing the annoying message.
Microsoft tries again with aggressive advertising
The worst part of it all is that this message you can’t jump, so whoever jumps swallows it yes or yes. In the ad, the user only has two options, the first is “Try for free” and the second is “No thanks”, but as hilarious as it sounds, if the user refuses to use the trial and click “No thanks” , You will be redirected to the cashier to pay without having the possibility to perform any other action.
There is another variation of the ad that other users see where you can skip the process by clicking the “Next” buttons.
Windows 10 keeps me from booting to desktop without forcing me to accept their free trial first and $100 a month after that (I obviously canceled after that WTF from Microsoft).
It’s more than possible that it was all down to an error on the company’s part, but that doesn’t stop it from being a bitch. Currently, if you get the error, all you can do is start the trial and unsubscribe immediately.
