Milestone and Mattel celebrate the success of the popular arcade racing game Hot Wheels Unleashed
Bringing the fun of the iconic Hot Wheels brand to all major gaming platforms, Hot Wheels Unleashed is the most successful title in Milestone history.
A year and a half after its launch, Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT) and Milestone, a leading global developer of racing games, are announcing data proving the game’s success.
Hot Wheels Unleashed has sold over 2 million copies worldwide and has over 8 million registered players across multiple platforms including Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Collection. In total, users played the game for almost 929 years.
The action-packed arcade-style racing game is easily accessible but packed with advanced techniques and offers Hot Wheels fans the chance to drift, boost, jump and cr ash as they choose between more than 60 vehicles and six different environments.
Across all vehicle categories, the 2021 Hot Wheels® Twin Mill is the most used vehicle, being selected for over 20% of all races played.

Hot Wheels Unleashed includes two features that allow players to unleash their creativity. The Livery Editor allows fans to customize the look of their beloved vehicles and make them unique by applying colors and shapes to Hot Wheels Originals™ and Real Manufacturer cars.
To date, over 1 million liveries have been created, with a peak of over 20,000 submissions in a single day. Track Builder is dedicated to players who want to take full control of the iconic orange track and build their dream tracks; to date, more than 350,000 original tracks have been designed to unleash maximum fun.
