Those who are already used to it may see this as something without much meaning or with little relevance, but the truth is that for new players, the fact that Mojang and Microsoft have decided to combine the two versions of Minecraft, is a point in favor of the game because they will always have the best version regardless of where they play.
PC users will start receiving Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition in a single bundle that includes both versions from June 7 this year. The individual purchase option will indeed disappear.
Minecraft Java & Bedrock will be the new name
There is good news for those who have one of the separate editions, as these will be converted into the aforementioned package, which is called Minecraft Java & Bedrock. In this way without paying a penny more they will have both versions available. All of this will be implemented in Minecraft Launcher and will coincide with the release of the new update “The Wild Update”.
Features of both products, such as modding support for Java Edition and cross-platform play with Bedrock, will continue to work in this release. The only change is that all PC players have access to both versions.
