We are surprised at the movement of take two which enabled them to acquire Zynga the largest mobile content creation company. Games that have stood out for many reasons and that bring together thousands of players from all over the world. All for the not insignificant figure of 11,000 million dollars, “euro plus euro minus”.
TAKE-TWO picks up the franchises that move the most players in various markets.
Zynga, founded in 2007, has more than 3,000 employees who join take two in this way and with almost “200” million users.
Take-Two will now be able to leverage Zynga’s expertise in creating hugely popular free-to-play mobile titles to be able to create new hit games based on its properties. In fact, Zynga will be the new brand of Take Two’s mobile efforts. Current Zynga CEO Frank Gibeau will lead this organization, signaling the potential direction of Take Two’s mobile future.
TAKE-TWO has clearly expressed its intention to go down this path. “We see huge untapped potential to bring Take-Two’s renowned console and PC properties to mobile devices, a high-priority initiative that will be fueled by the addition of the core development, publishing and operations teams in directly from Zynga”.
We remember that Take-Two already has several titles in digital stores such as GTA3 and San Andreas among others. It makes sense that you decide to add your most successful franchises to it. What is clear is that we are going to see a very promising future for all the platforms that will benefit from this acquisition.
