There are still quite a few players who are not clear on how this works, so today I bring you a small explanation so that you can fully understand all this. At first it may seem a bit confusing, but I assure you that we are faced with something really simple. Yes now it costs more to remove all accessories from weapons, not because it’s complicated, but because it will take more time. Now it’s not enough just to raise your level by playing games.
Here’s how the new Battle Pass works
In previous Modern Warfare and Warzone, we had a lifetime battle pass. You play and level up the pass to unlock the various rewards, either free or paid if you decide to purchase the pass. Battle pass. Now that has changed a bit. The battle pass is divided into several sections and you need unlock tokens to complete it. These tokens are unlocked by playing games, so we understand each other, it’s the experience you earn in the games, but instead of automatically increasing the pass, they will give you these tokens.

It should be noted that filling each section will cost you a total of five unlock tokens, once you have enough and complete, for example, section A1, adjacent sections will turn green to let you know they are available; as you can see next to the A15, for example. It’s worth noting that once the adjacent ones are unlocked, they’ll always stay unlocked so you can come back to them later in case you don’t want to unlock them yet.
Unlike the traditional battle pass, there is no specific order here, otherwise you can decide which path you want to follow. If you want to prioritize unlocking the new weapons, you can choose the shortest path to reach them, for example, A1, A3, and A6 to unlock one of the two new season weapons. Of course, if you haven’t purchased the battle pass, remember that you can only keep rewards marked “free” In the box. The rest is reserved for the premium pass.
Unlocking attachments and weapons
In this section we also have some changes, in previous deliveries accessories were unlocked by your player level, like weapons. Normally, when you reached level 55, which was the maximum at the time, you ended up with all weapons and accessories available. This changes totally in this Modern Warfare 2, since now you will have to download specific weapons to unlock the content of the game. Of course, this also happens with accessories, not only for weapons. To unlock a specific silencer you will have to upgrade a sniper rifle, to get one of the most popular scopes at the moment you will have to upgrade a shotgun and so on with each of them.

Camouflage Unlock
Another section that is undergoing a significant change is camouflage. Compared to Modern Warfare in 2018, it’s a method that makes gold camo more accessible, but more complicated plate and above. Well, as in the previous sections, we will give a short explanation to make everything clear.
In the previous episode, the weapons had 10 camouflages, currently each one will have four challenges. This translates to four camouflages per weapon and then the specific challenge to get the gold. Unlike the previous Modern Warfare, in this game we have a total of 198 camouflages, logically at the beginning they will all be blocked. Something that in the previous ones you couldn’t do.
Once we are more advanced and get gold in the same category of weapons – rifles, submachine guns, snipers… – we will unlock the platinum challenge. Unlike previous games, here you will not have it unlocked to equip, otherwise you will have to make a total of 25 long shots with the weapon. Once you get it, you’ll only unlock it for the weapon that completed that challenge, so if you want it in the whole category, you’ll have to replay absolutely every weapon. As I told you, it’s not complicated, but it will take much longer than in the previous game.
Platinum Challenge and Modern Warfare 2’s Almost 200 Camouflages
As you can see, all these changes give a different touch to the game. Looks like Activision made it easier to get gold for your favorite weaponbut for the completists Like me, the terrain was a bit complicated for us. At least he wanted us to have fun longer and we have to play around four times with every weapon in the game to get absolutely every camo.
I must admit that at first I was not completely convinced by this method, but over time I find it more fun and interesting.
