Moo Lander – the world’s first Mootroidvania, out today on Xbox

230,000 cows and about 6.9 million people live in Bulgaria, which means that about every 30th inhabitant gets a cow. The cow that lives at The Sixth Hammer Studios has been asking for a game since co-creators first discovered what a cow actually is. Well, we are very pleased to announce that Moo Lander is available now for Xbox One!

Moo Lander it’s all about the milk! Embark on an epic quest to save your dying civilization – tame Mighty Cow bosses, uncover ancient secrets, and battle hordes of enemies with a powerful arsenal of milk. Enjoy four player local multiplayer with four different game modes.

The secret cow layer now has its own secret human layer

In the Mooltiverse of Moo Lander, reigns milk as the supreme source of energy and possesses a power surpassed only by the stellar explosions of a supernova. The problem is that it runs out fast. The steaks – er, stakes – for your civilization are high, but rumors have reached your ears about an ancient device that can produce infinite amounts of milk. After making it to your civilization’s only working spaceship, set off into a beautifully handcrafted world teeming with deadly lifeforms and ancient bovine foes.

When cows fight back against the alien invasion

Over the course of the game, over 15 different types of Mighty Cows will stand in your way. From the darkest dungeon to the highest peak, these powerful bosses are everywhere and will threaten your important mission. We have developed an advanced cow AI and you must master your skills to take on the superior intelligence of the cows! Each individual cattle boss is cinematic and has its unique attacks, abilities and strategies. A cosmic challenge awaits any player who chooses to be the hero of The Landers!

We will never look at a milkshake the same way

Each Mighty Cow has a unique cow AI that controls their behavior and requires a carefully considered approach. Milk Sabers, Milk Bars and more are at your disposal, but you dare not harm the Ancient Mighty Cows. These awesome beasts must be overpowered using non-lethal methods and careful use of the environment.

Almost all of The Landers’ technology runs on milk! It’s up to you to choose your weapons and playstyle – will you wield The Milk Saber and The Milk Shield like a melee-oriented Milk Knight, or shoot from afar with the Milk Machine Gun? Or you can be a milk ninja and use The Mooriken.

Yes, you read that right – Moo Lander has a great local Mooltiplayer and gives you the chance to play as The Cows! How cool is that? The game features several special arena maps and four multiplayer modes – PvP, PvE, Galactic Mooball and Survive the Waves. Gather some friends to take on the AI ​​cows, or get ready and do two landers versus two cows, all controlled by the players. Or if you’re a soccer fan you can team up with a buddy to take on two other players in our Galactic Mooball mode (you can even play as Mighty Cow). Moo Lander Couch Co-op mooltiplayer offers tons of fun with family and friends all together in front of the TV.
