The developers provide more details about The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle including new companions and card game.
In a statement, ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks announced more details about the High Isle chapter, which was recently revealed in a major preview event.
The new chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online will be released on June 6, 2022 for PC/MAC and Stadia, and June 21, 2022 for Xbox and PlayStation.
As revealed in the High Isle preview stream, this year’s Chapter’s story focuses on a political intrigue, as High Isle is the perfect retreat for Alliance delegates to conduct peace talks that could end the War of the Three Banners.
While the summit is hosted by the noble League of the Steadfast, players must beware the Order of the Aspiring and their chaotic agendas.
ESO’s 20+ million players will experience an island paradise steeped in medieval culture and architecture, complete with impressive forts and thrilling tournaments.
New companions
Last year, ESO introduced companions for players, and in 2022 ZeniMax Online Studios will follow suit. In this way, you can secure the loyalty of two brand new companions: Funke is a Khajiit who grew up on the streets and has a certain soft spot for magic, while Isobel is a Breton knight in training who feels called to do the right thing to do.
New card game: Tales of Glory
Also coming for 2022, Tales of Glory is a brand new card game playable directly in the world of ESO. This unique card game invented on High Island includes both PvP and PvE elements.
Players advance through their own tiered system of tales of fame. There are also cool rewards to be unlocked, including furnishings, Transmutation Stones, and even an ongoing storyline that involves battling specific NPCs around the world.
