We continue to learn exciting details about Team Ninja’s upcoming game, Wo Long Fallen Dynasty. Last weekend we told you about the difficulty of the game and now, excerpt from the same interview of IGNwe learned details about the game’s morality and decision system.
The game will have a morality system that we will have to deal with, this warrior morality code will put us in many situations during our adventure.
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Morality System
Since our title chronicles the tumultuous events of the war that broke out during the Three Kingdoms period, we had to come up with a morale system that actually revolves around warrior morale. The player and the enemies will be subject to this moral code, and it will be precisely this that will bring a new dynamic to the adventure genre. This system will also change the player’s relationship with death. You will always gain something by defeating a powerful enemy, but enemies will also do so when they kill your alter ego. The balance of forces on the ground will change every time someone important dies.
Fans of the Three Kingdoms era are asking for special weapons for each of the Warlords, and that’s something we want to give them. However, compared to Nioh, you won’t need to constantly upgrade your weapon or armor, and you certainly won’t get an item from every enemy you defeat. This is not the main design goal of Wo Long, our goal is to make it easier for players to focus on the game. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a wide variety of weapons to choose from.
As you can read in the quote above you can see that we won’t have a variety of weapons like in Nioh depending on the level, it seems that in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty it will be more similar to what has been seen in souls saga, with a variety of weapons that we may be able to upgrade.
