The publisher of independent titles like the recent No Rest for the Wicked reportedly recently closed the Intercept Games and Roll7 studios
The year 2024 is a dark year for the video game industry. Almost every week, a new wave of layoffs is announced in different studios or publishers around the world. What if this week we learned of the closure of the Intercept Games and Roll7 studios
The question now is what will happen with all the titles this division had in its hands. Kerbal Space Program 2 is still in Early Access, like the aforementioned No Rest for the Wicked.. Furthermore, the publisher will soon publish Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings game. A few months ago, it was also confirmed that Private Division was going to publish the next game from Game Freak, developer of the Pokemon titles. We’ll be watching to see how this whole mess turns out, but things aren’t looking good for this major publisher.
