StudioMotive, the studio responsible for bringing to life the wonderful remake of Dead space takes a turning point in the distribution of its staff. VSon the creation of a new team for the development of future titles in the Battlefield franchise. This movement is not something that can surprise us.
Since the beginning of the year, Several studios suffered a similar fate, such as Criterion Games and Riple Effect Studio.. But along the way, the studio led by Marcus Letho closed its doors without even being able to announce the project he was working on.
Motive Studio joins the ranks of Battlefield
With this turn towards the famous war saga, the future of Battlefield is in the hands of DICE, Motive Studio, Criterion Games and Ripple Effect Studio. With this alignment, EA hopes to bring the defunct franchise back to the top. The news of the arrival of Motive Studio is quite recent. And with their union, Philippe Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oriola; respectively executive producer and creative director of Dead Space Remake is at the forefront of this new Battlefield-focused philosophy that Electronic Arts is beginning to embrace.
Through an official statement via the studio website, Patrick Klaus, the manager of Motive, made a series of statements of which we leave you an extract:
The directors who brought Dead Space to life in 2023, Philippe Ducharme (executive producer) and Roman Campos-Oriola (creative director), will form a team at Motive to work with Battlefield Studios creating a universe of multiplayer and single-player experiences. Their proven expertise in storytelling, immersive battles, and development of the Frostbite engine uniquely positions them to help advance the vision for Battlefield, led by Vince Zampella (EVP, Group GM of Respawn and Battlefield) and Byron Beede ( Please, GM Battlefield).
