Multiversus becomes July’s best-selling title, ahead of Elden Ring

Multiversus, the new title released by Warner Bros last July, has become a real mass phenomenon, managing to position itself as the company’s best release on Steam and reaching exceed 10 million accounts created since the announcement of its closed beta.

But undoubtedly the greatest example of its incredible success is that Multiversus managed to become the best-selling game last July, something really impressive if we take into account that the game is free. So if it’s a free game, how did it manage to top the July sales chart? The answer lies in the Founder’s Packs.

Multiversus passes Elden Ring in July

The success of Multiversus has been such that it managed to dethrone the must-have Elden Ring as the best-selling title during the month of July according to the report recently published by NPD. This is even more impressive considering that Multiverse reached this milestone thanks to the Founder Packs, pack through which permanent access to certain fighters is unlocked.

Although he was relegated to second place during the month of July, it is very likely that Ring of Elden again dominate the table of the best-selling games during this month of August, which is not surprising if we take into account that the title has already exceeded 17 million copies sold in just six months.
