The musical party game Disaster Band is conquering PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The PC version is getting a new upgrade.
Twelve notes. That’s all you need to create beautiful and varied music in all kinds of styles. But in the right hands, they can also be the basis for wonderfully crazy musical chaos.
The development team Productive Basement Studios and Publishers Solar dust are pleased to announce that indie project Disaster Band continues its tour on PC with the upgrade released today and is currently available with a whopping 55% discount in the Steam Summer Sale.
At the same time, the developers can announce that the crazy and highly entertaining rhythm game will be hitting even more stages when the curtain rises on the console versions on July 11th.
Up to four players can grab their instruments on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch and try their hand at the available classical compositions, expand their song library via Mod.io or aim for top scores on the tracks contributed by the community.
Disaster Band features cross-platform multiplayer, making it easy to find new band members regardless of your preferred system.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart said that music is not found in the notes, but in the silence between them. Anyone who has played in Disaster Band, either solo or as part of a dissonant duo, traumatizing trio or nonsense quartet, will agree. Grab one of the classic instruments like violin, recorder, cello or trombone or try out exotic sound generators as you follow the notes to play your way up the ranks.
It’s okay to play wrong – unless you’re trying to beat the high score. But you have the creative freedom to play any note you want at any time, so you can practice but also improvise as you discover the music. And remember: practice makes perfect. With Disaster Band’s dynamic acoustics, even off-key notes provide tons of fun and great entertainment for musicians of all ages and skill levels.
Thanks to the integration of Mod.io, your musical journey never ends. Use your PC to create your own MIDI tracks and share them with the community. Or import other players’ songs to expand your repertoire in the rehearsal room or on the big stage.
