The arrival of Vora was only the first taste of the darkness the paladin realm would experience. Now the true power it serves has finally been unleashed on the world. Yagorath, the Devourer, has emerged from her captivity to consume everything on her way as the newest playable champion PaladinsSeason 4: Disaster Update!
Yagorath is a piece of the throat, a cosmic force with one goal – to integrate all life into its being. On her journey through the cosmos, Yagorath collided with the moon of the realm, shattered it and caused her to fall into the realm. There she was imprisoned and watched by the seal guards, devout followers of the moon goddess Io, who were determined never to let Yagorath escape and devastate the land.
However, the seal guard Vora felt that Io had left her and the realm and is now full of death and destruction caused by the war of the magistrate and the resistance. Vora decided to take revenge by becoming the harbinger and unleashing Yagorath. Now this mighty cosmic horror is trying to unite the realm by devouring all life in it!
Yagorath is the most unique Paladins previous champion. This front-line champion comes in two forms – Planted and Travel. In a planted form, Yagorath cannot move, but receives the ability to spray acid, which slowly eats away at its enemies. In travel form, Yagorath rolls into a wheel and speeds across the battlefield, pushing enemies out of the way and pursuing their next prey.
Yagorath’s most formidable ability is the aptly named Devourer, where she targets a champion for her next meal. The enemy champion is slowly drawn towards her, helpless to escape her fate alone. The entire enemy team must work together to defeat Yagorath before it is meal time – and their goal is carried out with a satisfying chomping animation!
In addition to Yagorath, Season 4 begins: Calamity Paladins Update, reset the leaderboard and add a number of balance changes to the game. We’re also introducing our new 2021 Season Pass, which will give players every new champion released this year – including Yagorath – plus skins, emotes and poses for every player.
