SEGA of America today revealed more details about the distribution of Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumbleas well as a deeper dive into the ways players can customize their appearance.
Be prepared to increase your potassium intake when Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble will launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch family of consoles on June 25, 2024. In Adventure Mode, players will also encounter Fez, Te Yes Val. The trio set their sights on the relics that AiAi and her gang work tirelessly to collect, in an epic race to locate the greatest treasure of all: the legendary banana.
Banana Rumble introduces a wide variety of customization items for players to choose from, with over 300 items ready to unlock, including hats, clothes, accessories… even the simian ball can be customized. Many of these items can be purchased in the in-game store with points earned through regular play, whether locally or online.
Additionally, those who play in Online Battle mode against random opponents can win a daily bonus from the Lucky Monkey lottery. This virtual capsule machine allows players to extract a single ball containing one of dozens of unique items, with more being added in the future. Special seasonal items are even planned, with exciting surprises planned throughout the year.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble Characters:
- AiAi – The happy-go-lucky and versatile commander-in-chief of the group. When he’s not busy playing, AiAi loves to relax and enjoy a banana, two or three.
- Me me – Always positive, kind-hearted and reliable. MeeMee is the heart of the team, always ready to help those in need.
- Baby – Very intelligent for his age, Baby is a cool monkey who uses his agile size and quick reflexes to tackle complicated courses.
- GongGon – A former rival, now best friend of AiAi, who is training to become the strongest monkey in the world. Thanks to his incredible power, he can overcome all obstacles and all opponents.
- Select – Fast and brave, if a little shy, this fun-loving lemur is a martial arts expert trained by his father, the world’s strongest monkey.
- Doctor – A brainiac known for his crazy inventions, nothing, not even amnesia, can stop this super intelligent monkey. His Fast Spin prowess will leave all his opponents as stunned as he is.
- Palette – The newest member of the group, Palette is an adventurer who meets AiAi and the gang and convinces them to join her on a journey in search of the legendary banana.
