New quests, armor, weapons, and more for Lords of the Fallen are now available with Season of Revelry.
HEXWORKS, a CI Games studio, has announced the start of the ‘Season of Revelry’ in Lords of the Fallen. The first part of this two-part, free, festive content update for the dark fantasy action RPG begins today with “Offerings of Orius” and continues with “Trial of the Three Spirits” on December 21st.
Between the two parts, ‘Season of Revelry’ introduces a whole host of new features, including three brand new quests, each unlocking a new and unique set of armor and weapons, new spells, finishing moves, projectiles, brand new snowball fights and much more!
Season of celebrations
Now available – Offerings of Orius
- New Spells: Six new spells, including Devastating Hex, Radiant Shield Throw and Holy Arrow Shot, expanding the already wide range of magic-based attacks
- New Projectiles: Players now have three new projectiles available, including Blood Vomit, Explosive Mines, and Frost Worms, to help them kill enemies from a distance
- New Boss Weapon Abilities: Following the extremely positive community response to the introduction of boss weapon abilities in a previous update, players can now unlock uniquely powerful abilities for all boss weapons, including an eruption of erupting flames from the Abbess’s Greatsword and a torrent of flaming blades with the Father of Misery’s Greathammer… once certain “secret tasks” have been completed
- Seasonal Decorations: The Vestiges of Mournstead were modestly decorated with festive decorations to celebrate the Year of Joy.
From December 21st – The Trial of the Three Spirits
- The Trial of the Three Spirits: Three new quest lines, three new armor sets, three new weapons. Each represents one of the three gods – Orius’ Rays, Adyr’s Rhogars and the mysterious Umbral – and players must overcome several arduous trials to receive these rewards
- The character’s appearance in the game will be reset: By popular demand from the community, players will be able to change their character’s name, body shape, gender, skin color, hair color and other physical attributes… once they complete a new quest to get the shards of the mirror of distortion
- New Major Attacks: Each weapon family now has two unique finishers, one for one-handed use and one for two-handed use
- Storage Box: Another long-awaited feature, players can store up to 2,000 items in the Skyrest Bridge Case to free up inventory space.
- Gamepad Remap: Players will have the ability to remap the gamepad buttons after being able to remap the mouse and keyboard since launch.
- SNOWBALL FIGHTS! Another new throwing option: Players can now throw snowballs at enemies or intruders
HEXWORKS has also confirmed that updates to Lords of the Fallen will continue into 2024 to implement the remaining new features and improvements announced last month. This includes further refinements to PvP and PvE balancing and the release of the genre-leading New Game Plus modifier system, allowing players to comprehensively modify and customize their New Game Plus experience.
