For the experts – An in-depth locomotive experience comes to Train Sim World 4.
Anyone who already found Train Sim World detailed and realistic enough will experience a completely new perspective with the latest locomotive expansion! The DB BR 101, which was originally released in 2021, has been completely redesigned by the TSG team to give the driving experience a new
degree of realism.
Cold starting the locomotive, managing fuses in the engine room, calculating train data input and even managing simulated faults are part of this “Expert” version, the first (and so far only) add-on developed for the Expert series.
Over a year in development, the team worked with real train drivers and operators to give players the ability to push many more buttons and use interactive digital screens to a degree that most Train Sim World players will find incredibly challenging.
Due to the knowledge required, a complete manual is provided that translates technical terms for non-German speakers and gives instructions on how to deal with a variety of errors that may arise along the way.
The work and dedication to this level of detail requires a higher price, which is why this add-on is more expensive than a standard locomotive add-on and is aimed at Train Sim World’s ‘expert’ audience. For players who feel put off by the experience, there is a more accessible mode that is switchable, and the introduction of the IC Control Car Cab offers something new for fans of German rolling stock – again with additional switches and modes to interact with.
Players interested in trying out this expert locomotive are advised to read the full manual or watch the preview stream on the Dovetail Games YouTube channel to get a better understanding of the tasks.
