There are new Xbox Dashboard features for installing games for Xbox Insiders, which will soon be rolled out to all console owners.
Microsoft is continuing to implement new Xbox Dashboard features for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It has now been announced that a new feature for installing games in the Insider program is being tested.
You can use the new dashboard function to determine the default installation location for your games yourself or let the Xbox decide for you. So you can control your system as you wish if you have connected several data carriers to save games.
For example, you can choose to have Xbox Series X games installed directly onto the console’s internal storage, which also makes the most sense for taking full advantage of the full feature set with fast loading times. If this is full, you can select the expansion card.
You can also decide, for example, that you set up “older” games on a large external USB drive. Or just let the console decide for you, Xbox Series X|S games will be installed on the fastest device with free space, older games on the USB drive.
