New gaming experiences await players in the Elemental War 2 game mode update for Xbox and PC

Hello out there, I’m Daniel from the Indie studio Clockwork Origins.We are pleased to introduce the new Big Game Mode update for our tower defense game elemental war 2 we started a few days ago and give some insights into it.

In addition to a few of the usual bug fixes and improvements, the focus of the update is on what’s new endless mode and the weekly challenges.

That endless mode builds on what you’ve experienced in the game so far. You defeat an elemental every five waves, win the element and an item, build powerful towers with the element combinations and use your items to defeat the ever-growing hordes of monsters. But while the game used to end after surviving wave 80, in Endless mode it won’t. At wave 80, you’ll get the next Elemental Crystal to summon another Elemental, and the monsters will keep spawning. This way, if you’re good enough, you can max out all the elements and build the strongest tower combos. And of course you’ll get some new items to try new strategies and improve your score in a whole new leaderboard. On top of that, endless mode can of course also be played online in co-op with full cross-platform support!

That weekly challenges are a new way for us to bring you new content in the form of changing challenges that change your experience of the game and try to get the best out of you. Each challenge has some parameters that can change and affect your experience. Of course, the most obvious are the things you can usually customize yourself: the map you play on, the game mode, and the difficulty level. These three are pre-set for the challenge to give you all the same setup.

But wait, there’s more! The challenges can actually change many other things as well:

• start wave
• begin life
• article
• monster speed
• rush mode
• interest
• elements
• minimum speed

Starting Wave and Starting Life affect your starting conditions. Instead of always starting with wave one with 50 lives, we have a few intermediate steps like starting with wave 30 with only ten lives. In this case, of course, you get a lot of gold and elements, so you just skipped the first 30 waves.

While the articles are an important part elemental war 2the challenges can disable treasure chests or even all items, which will completely change your gaming experience, as one of your most powerful tools will no longer be available and you will have to build your towers even more carefully.

Monster Speed ​​means that when activated, only fast monsters spawn (slow monsters run faster). So no more relaxing waves. Combined with the Rush Mode you even have no breaks between the monster waves. Interest You Know can also be disabled, meaning you no longer get a bonus when saving gold and you need to change your playstyle to accommodate. The minimum speed defines whether the game can be paused or not, or even if you have to play at x2 or x3 speed all the time. And the last modifier is whether you can choose the elementals yourself or if random elementals are forced. In any case, the random order of the elements is the same for all players, but if you can choose them, you can of course influence this order.
