Play the new Reload mode in Fortnite on a new map.
New map. New mode. Welcome to Fortnite Reload, an action-packed Battle Royale mode for you and your team, with familiar weapons, familiar locations, and a familiar feel. Reload is available now.
In Fortnite Reload, teammates get restarts as long as there is one member of the team left. Reload is a 40-player experience on a more compact map with familiar locations such as Tilted Towers and Retail Row. The storm moves faster in Fortnite Reload and a complete team wipe means game over.
How it works:
- If a player is eliminated, his personal restart timer starts. When the timer runs out, the player gets a restart!
- Restart timers start at 30 seconds and increase to up to 40 seconds later in the match.
- Team members still active in the match can reduce restart timers by 2 seconds by knocking down an opponent, by 4 seconds by eliminating an opponent, and by 10 seconds by completely eliminating an opposing team.
- Players who go down can choose to start the restart timer immediately instead of waiting for a revive.
- There are no restarts at the end of the match, so fallen team members cannot return.
Reload Rewards
Fortnite Reload has introductory quests, each of which rewards 20,000 XP. Complete three of them to get the Digital Drone Combat contrail, six to get the Pool Cube wrap, and nine to get the Banana Dip back bling! If you get an epic win, you’ll get the Restart Umbrella glider! No matter how many times you restart.
Here’s how you can participate:
- Download Fortnite for free on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Android, PC.
- Fortnite is also available on cloud-based streaming services.
- Once you are logged in and Fortnite is running, select the “Fortnite Reload” tile on the discovery screen (Fortnite menu).
- Grab some friends and have a party! Fortnite Reload is a Squads (four-player) experience.
