Fight for a new monument with the Underground Assault Update for Rust Console Edition.
The Underground Assault Update for Rust Console Edition is now available. A military tunnel monument has been added to the survival game, in which you fight against other teams for control and, above all, for the loot. You can explore the tunnel with the new night vision goggles.
These weapons and projectiles are also new:
- P17 prototype pistol
- handcrafted LMG
- M4 shotgun
- 2 new projectiles
- Molotow cocktail
- Flashbang grenade
The update also includes improvements to the user interface and the wounded system.

ADDED
- New monument – military tunnel. Poor visibility, sporadic areas of intense radiation, dark, winding halls and large corridors monitored by happy scientists.
- New Weapons – Prototype 17 Pistol, Handcrafted LMG and M4 Shotgun.
- New throwables – Molotov and stun grenade.
- New Weapon Attachments – Extended Magazine and Burst Fire Module.
- Added the ability to toggle personal footstep sounds in the audio options.
- Implemented various UI improvements for Teams.
- Ability to apply skins directly to objects using the spray can. (NOTE: The spray can only changes the skin)
- Added crosshair and hit hair.
- Added markers for hit penetration and directional damage.
- Updated Wounded State – Players can now enter the crawl state when wounded.
- Night Vision Goggles – See in darker areas, but with the downside that you can’t wear a helmet and the lenses are visible to other players.
- More emote gestures (dot, OK and chicken).
- The full character model is now fully visible in first person view, both when looking side to side and looking down.
- Team member names are now displayed on the screen at all times.
- 3.5K maps have been added to the official server rotation and are available for community servers.
HOW TO PLAY
- Players are now correctly pulled along by the cargo ship.
- Corrected collision interaction.
- It’s now easier to get to items from the water.
- Weapon attachments now update dynamically.
- Laser sights now align with the weapon target.
- The aim will no longer realign regardless of which direction a weapon is pointed.
- Projectile Resistance and Melee Resistance displayed now reflect the Steam version.
- Players’ names are no longer visible through the smoke from the smoke grenade.
- The status bar preview now updates when the player’s health/thirst/hunger changes.
- Players can now place a water pump in rivers in the snow biome.
- Players can no longer see through the bottom of the siren light.
- Damaged garage doors no longer require gears to be repaired with a hammer.
- Auto-Turret lasers are now visible.
- Harpoon spears now display correctly on sharks when fired.
- Blood decals no longer appear on weapons when shot at by another player.
MONUMENTS
- The airfield runway and outpost train tracks are no longer above ground.
- Players will no longer be randomly selected when at a monument.
user interface
- Improved readability for Traditional Chinese and English on map screens.
- Team UI icon size changed.
- The item slot is now grayed out when there are no longer enough resources to craft it.
- Players can now equip attachments via the Customize Attachments interface.
- Players can navigate through the resource storage using the right stick when splitting an item in the tool cabinet.
- The number of inventory indicators and inventory items are now updated when certain actions are performed.
- The player now takes radiation damage with a HUD display.
- The resource number is now updated immediately upon crafting.
- Workbench [HOLD] for more options and pickup [HOLD] no longer uses the same key prompt.
- The status display now shows the swimming symbol.
VISUALLY
- Various visual fixes.
- Improved various textures and LODs.
- The vending machine display is now displayed correctly.
- The player model no longer becomes invisible when the cargo ship disappears.
- The RHIB wheel no longer flickers while moving.
FURTHER CHANGES
- Fixed a crash that could occur if a player attempted to rotate a deployable item before the item preview appeared.
- Players will no longer get stuck in Prefab Warmup and time out when attempting to connect to the server.
- Fixed a server kick that could occur when firing a harpoon.
