Hi-Rez Studios, known for their multiplayer titles like Paladins, Smite or Rouge Company announce a major restructuring.
As CEO Steward Chisam of Hi-Rez Studios on LinkedIn announced that a restructuring has taken place within the company. This had the goal of “better organizing and aligning the company with its key priorities and creating a better corporate framework for future growth.”
One of the most important changes concerns the name of Hi-Rez Studios and its division between their internal studios, as they are now operating under the name Hi-Rez Ventures. The company’s own in-house studios will also be divided into three divisions and become independent while remaining owned by Hi-Rez Ventures. In addition, Erez Goren, founder of Hi-Rez Studios, is returning to the company and is appointed CEO of Hi-Rez Ventures, effective immediately.
The divisions and studios now look like this:
Titan Forge Games:
- Focus on the Smite IP and a not yet announced project that will play in the Smite Universe
- Divine Knockout is now operated and updated by Titan Forge
Evil Mojo Games:
- Focus on the Paladins IP
- Realm Royale and Rogue Company is now operated and maintained by Titan Forge
Rally Here Interactive:
- New company offering software-as-a-service solutions for game developers developing cross-platform live service games
- Steward Chisam takes over and becomes CEO
The remaining two studios, First Watch Games (rogue corporation) and RedBeard Games (Divine Knockout) will be merged with the remaining studios, i.e. Titan Forge and Evil Mojo, and layoffs will be carried out in the course of this.
“We believe these changes will allow us to best support our live game franchises and better empower the game developers behind Titan Forge and Evil Mojo to take control of their own destiny and bring the best to their player communities.” to offer the best possible experience. It also gives RallyHere Interactive the resources and management attention it needs to grow and fulfill its mission.”
