This week a new update arrives for members of the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha rings who will be able to enjoy a new experience on their consoles. The good news is that it is now easier than ever to interact with your friends on Xbox and Discord.
Imagine being able to see your Discord friends from your Xbox console, all without using the app on your PC or mobile device. Now you can. If your Xbox and Discord accounts are linked, you can include your Discord friends in your friends list in the Xbox guide.
How to use new Discord features on Xbox
To do this, simply relink your accounts and go to the Friends list in the Xbox Guide. There, you’ll be able to see your Discord friends on the right side, under “Join Now,” whenever they’re playing a game or voice chatting in Discord.
But that’s not all. Now too you can watch Discord streams directly from the console. Are you logged into a Discord call or voice channel? You can see anyone who is live streaming. In fact, you can also broadcast your own gameplay to your Discord friends.
