Todd Howard gave an update on Bethesda’s current and upcoming games Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls VI.
With the success of the Amazon Prime series for the role-playing game Fallout, the number of players on Steam for the previous spin-offs has recently increased again.
Meanwhile, voices from the community were also heard asking when we could expect a new part of the series. In one Interview with IGN Bethesda’s Todd Howard now commented on the topic.
He therefore explained that they did not want to make any changes to their own plans due to the success of the series. Already in an interview in 2022, the game director indicated that The Elder Scrolls VI would be the company’s next game and that Fallout 5 would only appear after the fantasy epic.
In this context, Todd Howard made it clear that he would avoid giving release dates and periods in the future because he had learned from his experiences.
Even if you are currently focusing on The Elder Scrolls VI, that doesn’t mean that you can’t move forward with planning other projects at the same time.
In addition to Starfield, which will receive updates at regular intervals, Bethesda is currently also working on Fallout 76.
According to Howard, the latter has now become a game with an excellent community. After the online role-playing game received considerable criticism from fans and the press when it was released in 2018, Bethesda has made numerous improvements and updates over the last few years.
