No rest for the wicked, was another of the big surprises of the Game Awards gala. This title represents the bold foray of Moon Studios in the genre after the launch of two critically acclaimed games that deserved several awards: Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
No rest for the wicked presents a carefully crafted world, full of details and with an inimitable artistic style, giving the sensation of being painted by hand. Players will explore a huge island called Sacra where you can enjoy its different levels in a totally different way from other action-RPGs
The artistic direction of No rest for the wicked and its brutal fights are complemented by a dark and raw narrative. In 841, the kingdom experienced one of its most important events with the death of King Harol Bolein. A devastating conflict erupts when a peaceful transition of power descends into chaos. Alongside this political turmoil, a deadly plague has reappeared on the isolated island of Sacra, devastating the land and its inhabitants. Players must resort to weapons to face both grotesque monsters and the army that has invaded the kingdom amid a turbulent environment that will pull them in all directions.
A very ambitious project
“We wear six years of working hard on our dream project“An action role-playing game on a different scale, driven by our passion and ambition for well-thought-out game mechanics and atmosphere,” said Gennadiy Korol, co-founder and director of technology and production at Moon Studios. “We really want to showcase our vision of what we’ve always considered the core canons of the action role-playing genre, while also taking appropriate steps to reinvent elements that we think are ripe for innovation.”
Another of the great new features of the title lies in its multiplayer mode. In this mode, players will be able to share their world and progress with up to three friends in the campaign’s online cooperative mode. You will be able to share the missions, bosses and exploration of Sacra.
No rest for the wicked will be released in early access for PC (via Steam) on Take-Two first quarter of fiscal 2024. The full version will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC sometime after Early Access. From the Xbox area we will notify you when we know the exact date.
