FuRyu Games announced in an interview that there will be no Xbox version of Reynatis because demand in Japan is simply too low.
The demand for a game like Reynatis on the Xbox in Japan is so low that development for the system would not be worthwhile, said creative producer Takumi in an interview.
“Personally, I would love to make Xbox versions of the games, but the reality is that there is not enough consumer demand in Japan.”
“There is not enough consumer recognition for the platform itself to justify an Xbox version.”
“When it comes to development, you have to understand that adding another platform to the development cycle means you have to factor it into the schedule. Also, the development team has to have the experience to develop the game for that platform.”
“Because the team doesn’t have that experience, it suddenly becomes a very high hurdle to develop that game. I would definitely welcome it if we were able to do that. I think that would be something very interesting. It’s just that it’s difficult for the reasons mentioned.”
