If there’s one thing I dislike about being a PC user, it’s how many apps and launchers you need to play your games. For me, everything has to go through the Microsoft store or Steam, but luckily for the competition, I don’t decide the market. Even though it would not be a bad thing if among all the editors develop some kind of common platform because it’s starting to get a bit tedious.
If you’re a regular at Electronic Arts games, you’ll remember that their old launcher, Origin, was a real headache. The company therefore decided to work on a new PC application, improving the experience, access to EA Play and the possibility of connecting several accounts from other stores. A total success in my opinion.

So we tested how it goes, I was mainly concerned about the possible support of the Game Pass which I missed so much and the user experience in general. However, nothing could be further from the truth with this new app, it’s fresh and light, and the process of signing in with any of your accounts is as simple as tapping the icon and wait to receive the confirmation code.

How to set up Game Pass with the new EA Play app
It is possible that when you first connect it to your account, you will have questions about setting up access to games in Game Pass. When you enter the EA Play app, you won’t see that you have an active subscription despite signing in with your Xbox account, and that can be a little daunting, but don’t worry because it’s an error with the connection at the beginning and it’s easy to solve.
To use EA Play through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the PC app, simply follow these steps:
- Install the app and connect your Xbox account.
- Completely close the application.
- Open the Xbox app and find an EA Play game in the Game Pass section.
- Click install.
- Now it will ask you for a confirmation code which will arrive in your Xbox email account.
- Done, you can see that you have an active EA Play subscription if you have Game Pass Ultimate.
